Assistance for retirees
Retirees and their family members who are enrolled in the City of Tucson Medical plans have mental health benefits available through their medical plan.
If you are experiencing a crisis or emergency, help is available, call 911. Otherwise, the Crisis Line, (520) 622-6000, can connect you with a counselor 24/7. Please refer to our Mental Health Crisis page for resources.

- Emotional support — Get anytime in-the-moment support. You can also visit with a counselor face-to-face, virtually or chat/text at no cost. Simply call us 24/7 for immediate access to a support. You can also explore your options for support by accessing the website and clicking Connect to Therapy.
- Virtual chat & video therapy (Talkspace) — Send secure texts to your counselor, who will respond within one working day. A week of texting counts as one session. You can also meet with your counselor for virtual sessions.
