Open Enrollment News - Short Term Disability Enhancement

A version of the short term disability coverage that includes psychiatric / psychological benefits is available to you this Open Enrollment. 

Meet with a Colonial representative to learn more and sign up. Colonial reps are onsite at various locations throughout open enrollment.

Those who don't sign up will retain current coverage with no psychiatric / psychological coverage.

You are under no obligation to make changes. Participation is voluntary. 


Colonial payroll-deducted voluntary benefits are:

  • Paid to you. Benefits are paid directly to you, unless you specify otherwise, to use as you see fit.
  • Yours to keep. With most plans, you can continue coverage with no increase in premium when you retire or change jobs.
  • Supplemental. Most plans pay benefits regardless of any other insurance you may have with other insurance companies.
  • Family coverage. Most plans offer coverage for your spouse and dependent children.
